Maryam is taking part in the group exhibition of selected artists in NDSM-Fuse Gallery in Amsterdam.
Thought-provoking art from all around the world is brought together by Smash The Narrative.
Now in its second year, the Smash the Narrative art prize brings together artists from around the world to present works centered around a current and controversial topic.
This year’s theme is You Can't Paint That!
The exhibition will juxtapose the works of artists taking a wide range of approaches to such questions using a variety of different mediums in the hope of provoking thought and discussion among the public.
There will also be a parallel program of alternative music and spoken word performances running in the exhibition space.

The opening gala and prize giving ceremony: 7th March, 16:00
Finissage & guest Award: 4th April, 16:00
Open: Thursday to Sunday, 12:00 to 18:00.

On the programme of the festival:
From the 9th to the 18th of August, the exhibition of around 50 selected artists exhibiting 3 to 5 unique and original works in competition for the public award. 3 guest artists presenting each one 5 works and one artist with the place of honour, with ten works.

• a contest and the public award
• Live painting contest with Lions Club prize €200 to be won (registration until the 1st of August)

Tuesday, April 2. 8pm (doors at 6.30pm). Northern Quarter, Huddersfield. Soundstripes 3 A night of live-scored artists' short film. Join us for an eclectic evening of short silent films, all live scored by a unique band of local improvising musicians. We're putting together an evening of visual delights, from early 20th century silent film to up-to-the-minute new films by contemporary film makers and artists including: Bill Aitchison, Maryam Deyhim, Ian Gouldstone, Javril and Daniel Land. Each film will be live-scored by a band of improvising musicians featuring some of the best local talent.

Maryam is going to take part in Soundstripes 3 with her short silent animation "THOUGHTS ARE FREE...FOR NOW"
Soundstripes 3 is putting together an evening of visual delights, from early 20th century silent film to up-to-the-minute new films by local film makers and artists. Each film will be live-scored by a band of improvising musicians featuring some of the best local talent.

The 10th-anniversary edition of internationally renowned Passion for Freedom Art Festival will open in London on 1 - 12 October 2018 at its new location – the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery & La Galleria Pall Mall. The exhibition showcases uncensored art from around the world, promoting human rights, highlighting injustice and celebrating artistic freedom.

Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize 2016 Announces Winning Artists
International law firm Ashurst and Oaktree & Tiger Gallery are pleased to announce the winners of the Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize 2016. The prize has been hugely successful in its second year receiving more than 1,890 artworks by over 740 artists. The shortlist included artists from Europe, Iran, China, India, South Africa, North, Central and South America who work across sculpture, painting, photography and other art forms.
